Guiyang News Network, Jiaxiu News – On May 30th, with the successful energization of the No. 3 main transformer at the 110kV Huashu Substation after five impact closing tests, the expansion project of the No. 3 main transformer at the 110kV Huashu Substation, undertaken by the Gui'an Power Supply Bureau of the Southern Power Grid, was successfully completed and put into operation.
Located in Gui'an New Area, this substation is a crucial power supply point for Huawei Cloud Data Center. Since the beginning of this year, Huawei Cloud's Shangtun Data Center has experienced rapid business expansion and technological updates, leading to a surge in power demand. The existing No. 1 and No. 2 main transformers could no longer meet its needs. Gui'an Power Supply Bureau actively integrated into Gui'an New Area's high-quality development strategy of "a significant transformation every year, a major change in three years," and quickly initiated the construction of the No. 3 main transformer expansion project.
"Power supply for development cannot wait; we must race against time to complete the project as soon as possible to ensure power supply," said the project's relevant (person in charge). Construction officially commenced during the May Day holiday, and the project was expedited to meet the deadline. Since the project commenced, the Gui'an Power Supply Bureau has worked closely with the construction team, strictly adhering to engineering quality and safety standards, standardizing project management, actively organizing expert teams to study solutions to various difficulties and problems, and striving to improve safety production control to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
From construction to commissioning, it took only 28 days! The successful commissioning of the No. 3 main transformer of the 110kV Huashu Substation not only provides a more stable and reliable power supply for the Huawei Cloud Shangtun Data Center, injecting strong momentum into the rapid development of the big data industry in Gui'an New Area, but also further demonstrates the reliability and stability of the power supply in Gui'an New Area, establishing a favorable development environment for the new area.
