(Chongqing News Network, reporter Liang Haonan, correspondent Wang Peng, Wang Kai) On May 31, it was learned from the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company that the Dianjiang East 220 kV transmission and transformation project has been successfully put into operation.
"After the substation is put into operation, the substation capacity of the Dianjiang power grid will double, from 360,000 kVA to 720,000 kVA, which will further optimize the Dianjiang power grid structure and meet the electricity needs of industrial and residential production and daily life in Dianjiang," said Deng Qiang, director of the Operation and Maintenance Department of State Grid Chongqing Dianjiang Power Supply Company.
The Dianjiang East 220 kV transmission and transformation project started construction in February 2023, with a total investment of 220 million yuan. It includes the Long'an 220 kV substation and a 110 kV transmission line. Designed according to the State Grid's new generation smart substation standards, this phase involves the construction of two new 180 MVA main transformers and four new 220 kV transmission lines, totaling approximately 36.5 kilometers, connecting to the existing Dianjiang 220 kV substation and Zhongxian Shima 220 kV substation.
The Dianjiang East 220 kV transmission and transformation project is a key project for ensuring power supply during the peak summer season in Chongqing in 2024, and also the first newly started and put into operation 220 kV transmission and transformation project in the northeastern Chongqing area during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. After the project is put into operation, Dianjiang County will achieve zoned power supply from two 220 kV substations, doubling the main grid's power supply capacity. Simultaneously, with the concurrent commissioning of the supporting 110 kV transmission line project, the Dianjiang power grid structure will be further optimized, forming a "dual-chain structure" for the urban 110 kV grid, significantly improving power supply capacity and reliability.
